Melbourne Hindustani Classical Music Society invites you to join for a mesmerising vocal recital of morning Raags by a young, talented artist from Pune, India –  Mandar Gadgil at the atmospheric Armagh Mansion in Toorak.

Mandar is an Indian Classical Vocalist based in the culturally vibrant city of Pune (India). He is a disciple of Pt Vijay Koparkar, a stalwart of Indian classical music, and is learning the music in the age-old ‘Guru Shishya’ tradition.

Mandar is known for a wide repertoire of Raags and Bandishes. He has performed in concerts across India and in the USA. Apart from Khayal music, he also performs Marathi Natyasangeet, Bhajans and semi-classical music.

The recital of morning Raags will be held in the beautiful, atmospheric ballroom of the Armagh mansion in Toorak. Mandar will be accompanied by Pandurang Toravi on the Tabla and Saugato Ghosh on Harmonium.
