Daawat – Fundraiser for India
Daawat – Fundraiser for India brings together a collection of Melbourne’s top chefs collaborating for this one-off event.
Daawat is the hindi word for ‘feast’ or ‘celebration’ and true to its name this long-lunch will see diners feast on a communal style three-course meal with entrees, mains and desserts from celebrated chefs including Kay-Lene Tan (Tonka, Coda), Nabil Ansari (Sunda), Mischa Tropp (We are Kerala), Tom Sarafian (Bar Saracen), Helly Raichura (Enter Via Laundry), Matt Wilkinson (Montalto and Four Pillars Gin) and Shannon Martinez (Smith and Daughters). Accompanying wines will be available to purchase on the day.
All proceeds from ticket sales, as well as on-the-day donations will go through the Victorian Indian Community Charitable Trust to Khalsa Aid, an international NGO – in support of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis in India.
